Anyone yet to receive their decision on Latham General Open Day?
Coz I neither got a PFO nor an invite, and I'm on the fence about accepting another open day on the same day without knowing this decision.
This is really reassuring, thank you for this!
I'm hoping to spend some time regularly on this and be prepared in a month when major application deadlines kick in!
Met the CC GR team today and they expressed they're pretty stringent with grades. When someone brought in the concept of mitigating circumstances, the GR member said, they would consider the mitigating circumstances the University would have considered while grading and not often beyond that...
This is true.
In the last week open day, they advised me to always link back all the questions to the firm specifically, even if that wasn't explicitly stated in the question!
Given the fact that they wouldn't read our application until we clear their 3rd stage of application (job simulator)...
Generative AI, Yes! I agree!
I used Comet Browser once and automated the process of manually entering the module grades and work experiences in allhires. That did save me a huge chunk of time! And it was accurate (with all the entries!)
Task automation by augmenting the AI seems to be...
I'm so stressed and worried about this WGT.
I can't even enjoy the joy of getting past the first round of screening for the first time, as I barely have 2 days to complete the test. And all of th efforts for a successful application means nothing if I can't get past this test.
I hope I can...
Thanks for the input! Are there any platforms that you would recommend to practice them? I have to complete the test by tomorrow for the current firm so it's highly unlikely to be of any use, but I would like to be prepared for the next ones.
Thanks for the pfp/user appreciation. I just changed...
The subreddit good place if you feel miserable and want assistance. It gives a clear picture into the real "culture" beyond what's told in the public forums. But if you're enthusiastic/optimistic or clueless, the place seems brutal and unmotivating.
Adding on to other valuable inputs given here, cognitive rephrasing and self compassion really helps me at such tough times. You've come a long way and you deserve credits for it. And, rejections never mean you're under qualified!
I believe compartmentalising things usually helps me here. I see...
(Regarding WGT)
Is having 70 percentile in Assessment day practice test, 68 in allaboutlaw, 70 in jobprep test and 68% in Clifford chance test decent enough practice for a timed WGT test?
I did the same, as I positioned it with my past career and how the fresh start of it makes it more appealing to me (along with other things that's impressive about the firm).
We're on the same boat, and fingers crossed!
Thank you for the kind words, Abbie! I am looking forward to seeing you at the open day!
I have come with a few updates!
Firstly, I got invited to the second stage of the Cleary Application process! I can't believe it, this is my first success for a scheme, and I had less hope, as they were...
