Most firms would consider that an equivalent for minimum requirements. Generally it will need to be across three full A-levels sat in the same year though.
They can’t employ you as a vac schemer even if they wanted to. So if you do contact them, I’d ask whether you can apply for a direct TC route rather than VS.
A tier 2 visa only allows you to work for your employer - you wouldn’t be able to transfer it to another employer, and the vac scheme firm is highly unlikely to apply for a visa for such a short period of work experience.
Just to flag, if you need to pay for your LLB in 2022-3, you are unlikely to receive any financial support from the firm until your course is completed and then it will only be your maintenance grant to cover you while you study the LPC or SQE.
Is your senior status LLB part-time? I am slightly...
I’d go with prose unless you can format the answer with bullet points (eg you can format the text as you write it in the application)
Like you can format this text in the our forums.
Great news - I was going to be super surprised if they didn’t given the questions they asked you!
I think the fact they won’t be able to recruit EU students and the new ease of the visa system means they may have changed their mind, as I read somewhere that they didn’t sponsor In the past...
STAR/CAR only works for competency questions, where you are trying to identify a specific example that demonstrates a particular skill within an experience.
Your answers will becoming far too lengthy if you try to use STAR/CAR to describe a whole extra curricular.
My advice is to focus on your...
If you have other things to show you are keeping yourself busy, then I don’t think an additional activity is necessary.
I would stress that I don’t think any extra curricular activity actually directly benefits you for a career in commercial law. It’s much more what you do and why you do it...
I don’t think it’s necessarily directly useful for commercial law, but clearly it will be a great responsibility to have on your CV. I wouldn’t do it in the hope it builds out your CV, but if you have a genuine interest in the subject and want to take on the responsibility, then I personally...
I’d probably phrase it a little softer than you needing an answer. Give them a call, explain you have an offer and say you were calling to see if there was any possibility you could get an update by either Friday or Monday as that could help you make decision ahead of Tuesday.
In that case they must know you’ll need sponsorship. Maybe with the new visa process they are willing to apply for them - I know that is the case for many grad recruiters who previously didn’t.
It’s not bothersome at all. I think it would be good to get clarity. Clearly the “qualification”...
I don’t know to be honest. Just because they may have done in the past, doesn’t necessarily mean they will now (although the visa process is easier, so I’d be surprised if this is the case).
Is it obvious from your application that you are a non UK citizen?
Did you have to answer a question...
There is no guarantee they will, so it’s probably best to ask them anyway if it’s not explicit in the contract.
It will only happen about 3 months before you start your TC. They can’t start the process with UKBA until 3 months before you join the firm as an employee. I recommend looking at...
Yes - that is normal as the right to work will fall under the skilled persons visa. However, you should probably speak to them to understand what visa fees they will cover and which you will need to cover (this is particularly relevant for the health care surcharge).
Typical cover letter - why the organisation, why the firm, why you (doesn’t necessarily have to be in the order, but should cover those three aspects).
