I would personally stick to the ones I did ; I think (hope) firms are more interested in the experience you actually gained as opposed to how many vac scheme offers you were made and turned down, but I could be wrong.
They are. I applied in January and sent a follow up email yesterday because I haven’t heard back with an outcome as yet. Grad rec got back to me saying they’re still reviewing apps.

Oh sorry, should have been clearer. I got through to their two day virtual networking and assessment centre, which I understand is what they’re doing instead of a full vac scheme this year. This was after I completed a video interview at the end of Feb.
Thanks for responding! :) That makes sense. I was inclined towards waiting. I’ll only really apply to other firms directly if I’m unable to convert my scheme, in which case do you think other firms might ask about/take issue with my inability to convert the vac scheme?
In need of some advice. I have a spring vac scheme with a firm I love (and potentially another depending on the outcome of a recent AC) but am still hoping to make some direct TC apps. Does it make sense to apply for direct TCs before my scheme in April, or should I wait to apply depending on...

Just wondering, did you do a Dechert AC this cycle or previously? I completed the Dechert video interview for this cycle at the end of December but still haven’t had heard back about an AC.
