Hello! Hope you are all doing well.

I just got invited for a telephone interview for direct TC with Browne Jacobson. The interview is only supposed to be around 15 mins. If anyone has any previous experience with this firm, I would really appreciate any tips/suggestions you may have! Thanks :)
Afraid I don't have any experience with them but congrats Asmee!

Hi, I've applied to W&C, Freshfields and Morgan Lewis so far, hoping to apply to Baker and Sidley by the end of this week. Has anyone heard from any of these firms post application for the direct TC? :)

Bakers sent an email telling me they'll let people know in July. Early august(10th, 18th) is their AC's, so yeah! Hope that helps

Do you(or anyone) have any idea as to when Freshfields or W&C holds their AC for TC's? :)

Thank you, I'm still working on my Baker's app. Re ACs for the rest, no clue.. also wondering if ACs would be held virtually. Guess we'll have to wait for applications to close to hear about the next steps haha

Hi All, I am thinking of getting TCLA premium but not sure which package to get. I'm deciding between bronze and silver. I'm not currently doing any new applications so I don't need application review(annoyed I didn't know about this earlier). So I'm not sure if it would make any sense to get silver as I assuming bronze has the same benefits of silver but just no application reviews? If anyone can give me any advice that would be much appreciated! Also those that do have premium can you explain your experience with it, and which package you got? Thanks! :)

Guys,

From what I am reading on LinkedIn, many firms are having their virtual vac scheme. So, I think that the wait will be longer than what we expect :(

In my honest opinion - TCLA was one of the main reasons I had the success I did. The application reviews alone were worth the entire package (in my view). My take on the process was that the application was the single most important aspect of you application. If you failed there, you never get a chance to show how great you are in person!

I have been a Silver member on two separate occasions, for multiple months at a time. Honestly - There was so much content that I haven't even got through it all. My advice would be that if you are going to go for Silver, just wait until you need app reviews. Or, just get writing some applications now and have them reviewed so you can sign up now. You'll thank yourself in the long run :)

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions, I'll be honest!

Hi all :)

I did a vac scheme at Travers last summer but was unsuccessful with the TC. I’m thinking about applying again - they weren’t convinced I was committed to a career in law at the time, but I’ve since been working as a paralegal so would like to think that I can show them I am! They’re still one of my top firms and I really enjoyed my time there. I didn’t perform as well as needed in the group exercises either, but again I think that with more experience now, I’d be a lot more confident and perform much better.

Their website says that, ‘It is the firm's policy not to re-interview candidates who have been unsuccessful at an interview with the firm in the past.’

Just wanted to check what people thought about this - I interviewed successfully (securing the vac scheme) so don’t think it applies to me? Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance !!

I think it will apply to you, so it’s probably worthwhile contacting the recruitment team directly and asking
