Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to actually get past the first stage of the Linklaters vac scheme/TC application, since it's just a Cappfinity test with no written application? I've applied 4 times and gotten rejected every time after the test, and I was just wondering how anyone even gets past this stage!

Hiya,

Hope you’re having a FAB Monday!

I’ve linked a post to help:

Such assessments may tend to fall within the remit of SJTs, and my best advise is to honestly trust your instinct (very cliche, I know haha). But trusting your instinct will save you on time (even though the test is untimed) and consequently improve your stamina and confidence for subsequent questions.

Another thing is that (at least from what I’ve gauged from the website (it’s worth confirming with GR)), is that I presume the WG test is sent soon after completing the Cappfinity. This makes it almost automatic. If this is so, then it is likely your performance on that will also count towards your application profile.

I also know of some firms that only review your application once tests are passed, meaning that the application itself must be strong enough to make one progress to later stages. This means that everything will be looked at holistically.

Again, I am unsure about the positon with Links, so best to confirm with GR any questions you may have.

Best of luck with the apps! ;)
