I wouldn't be so sure, I haven't actually seen anyone say that they've received a response yet. It could just be that they had more applications than expected. Never a PFO until the email comes through!

I'd expect it within two weeks. Last year they got back to me the first week of August, but I applied early then.

I have just emailed HL about WG test score - usually they give out peoples test score. But they replied back saying that they’re going to get back to people next week in regards to their app and test score.. so yeah

I also noticed it said TC commencing 2023 but I’m sure I applied to 2024, I’m going to contact them anyway to confirm but wondered if anyone else had this? Thank you!

What is going on with ES TC London office? First they said last Friday they would defo get back to us, then they said it would be this Monday…and it’s Monday and NO ANSWER!!

Firstly, I would start by looking at areas where the firm has offices located (won't look too good if you suggest somewhere they already have an office), then secondly I would find some international commercial news relating to a practice area in which the firm specialises. For example, if you find an article talking about the growth of fintech in Nigeria, and the firm you're applying to specialises in innovation / financial services, you'll be able to justify your choice.

How do I explain in 50 words why I want the job and firm? I am oiled like to explain that I have the necessary skills but I am stuck on why the firm. May be the career prospects but seems a bit too long term.
