Yes it’s pretty awful. I am an immigrant so according to my visa I need to have a salary of £30,960. Will the firm be open to pay that if the role’s salary is around 30k?
I agree it’s pretty awful! I think your best bet is try and negotiate with the firm. I recently interviewed at Addleshaw and they were paying 30k for their paralegal role as well but I’m assuming if it’s a big international firm, they should probably agree to the increase (but might refuse on the grounds that other paralegals or entry level paralegals at their firm are being paid 30k so it wouldn’t be fair!)
