TCLA Direct Training Contract Applications Discussion Thread 2025-26

Hi everyone! Those who applied for the Disney Legal Graduate internship and did the online test, what results did you achieve? I have a hard time interpreting mine...

I got clear strength for Cognitive Verbal and relative strength for Cognitive Inductive, so I think that should be fine (?). However, I got 6 clear strenghts, 4 relative strengths, 6 average and 2 weak skills for the personality test - are they looking for more strengths overall? I don't know how these results compare to scoring in Amberjack for example.

Also any idea how they assess our application holisitically? We submitted a cover letter and CV already, so is there a benchmark on the online test for our application to be considered?

Based on the 'Understanding Your Assessment Report' page they linked to the report, there are 4 categories for every skill (and Verbal and Inductive are measured as two separate skills):
  • "Strength": Very strong level of skill compared to other professionals at your level
  • "Relative strength": Better performance than most professionals at your level
  • "As skilled as most others": Consistent with the majority of professionals at this level
  • "Development area": An opportunity for growth
Hi, I don’t know what they are looking for or what to expect but my results were - 14 clear strengths, 1 area of development, 3 relative strengths!

What was your development area? Mine was the shapes thing ie inductive!

Also assuming they will give more weight to CV unless the test went horribly wrong?

Any Reed Smith AC invites been sent out yet? Or if not have any PFOs been sent out at all? Just trying to gauge where they are in the process. I completed my assessment on 22nd May and had heard from grad recruitment on that date that no AC slots had been determined at the time, although I am aware that application questions had been going out from early in the process. Unsure where they might currently be at regarding ACs. I am personally still waiting for either a PFO or the application questions.

No ACs have been sent out just yet to my knowledge, its been about a week since the deadline and I have seen a few people only just complete their SJT/VI. So its probably a waiting stage as they review all the applications.

does anyone have any advice on how to do well on amberjack??? it always feel like such a mixed bag whenever i do the assessments, super scattered results! on that note - how to improve on the numerical reasoning part, I'm quite sure that I am calculating everything correctly, but i always get the average result.

My development area was Quality Focus from the personality test.

And yes agreed, they’ll probably give more weight to cv+cover letter. Just trying to guess the benchmark.

Hi I would not be worried yet.
the deadline was the 27 so people who applied that day will have a week to submit the test and a week after that to answer questions
so they might just be waiting to receive all the last VIs before sending a final round of written questions.
Do you know if they review your vi and test scores before deciding to send the written questions or is it automatic?

anyone actually knows how to process works for HFW? i know i asked before, but like are they rolling as in they pile the apps and send the pfo/invitation after the deadline, i.e. 16 July, or do they do it before? just trying to see when i could expected a response
