Is there any other firm in the City other than JD that offers a non-rotational TC? To my understanding the answer is no, although firms such as Freshfields provide more flexible TCs with a greater number of seats and reduced seat time.
I had this too! Lol it’s the nicest rejection everDavis Polk PFO. "We have carefully reviewed your CV and although your credentials are impressive, we are unable to invite you to interview with our Firm."
Ok, it might be the best PFO I have ever received 😭😭😭😭
Top of my head butwhat law firms recruit on rolling basis for TCs? is there a thread?
So after a million PFOs that came before, what has changed? A PFO that praised my credentials.Davis Polk PFO. "We have carefully reviewed your CV and although your credentials are impressive, we are unable to invite you to interview with our Firm."
Ok, this might be the best PFO I have ever received 😭😭😭😭
Same! Applied on DDL dayCovington & Burling AC😭
I’m 100% sure BM do not recruit on a rolling basis for TCs. Although it states that on the application, they do not get back to candidates until after the deadline has passed. This is confirmed by GR.Top of my head but
1. Baker McKenzie
2. Dentons
Oh no, that's so annoying especially after completing the test as well. I have heard nothing at all so I am not holding out hope lol. Thank you and good luck with all your applications as wellI had a big fat PFO - literally day after VI saying I didn’t meet their test benchmark. LDN office, applied Nov. Good luck 🤞🏻
Hi, I am not 100% sure either. I am basing it on my previous experience with the firm. In 2020, I applied for their direct TC and got a WG invite before the deadline. I got my VI and AC invite well after the deadline though.I’m 100% sure BM do not recruit on a rolling basis for TCs. They’re looking to get to know you more. If they ask then do put your open days with other firms as this demonstrates a commitment to the law etc. This might be a silly question but when a TC application form asks you to discuss your 'achievements, scholarships, positions of responsibility, insight schemes, open days and virtual work experience opportunities, extra-curricular activities', is it ok to talk about open days/work experience at other law firms? For this firm in particular, I have not attended any open days because (as far as I'm aware) they only host them for first year students. However, I have attended open days and experiences at other firms which specialise in a lot of the same practice areas as them.
Not sure whether this is what they are asking?
TIA xx
Same, got 80 and 89 in their tests as well so I was quite hopeful.Ashurst PFO😪
Congrats!!BCLP vacation scheme offer!! I actually cannot believe it!
Yes, perfectly acceptable to cover those done with other firms. This might be a silly question but when a TC application form asks you to discuss your 'achievements, scholarships, positions of responsibility, insight schemes, open days and virtual work experience opportunities, extra-curricular activities', is it ok to talk about open days/work experience at other law firms?
