Hi! Has anyone heard back from AG post-application regarding the video interview? Thanks!
If asked to discuss how a firm competes with its competitors, does anyone have any pointers in terms of what to research? With Stephenson Harwood for example, I know the firm has specialist areas, and also invests in legal tech, but don't most city firms invest in legal tech, and surely, if a client has a particular issue, they'd want to go for a firm with specialist experience, so i'm not sure how you'd discuss this question? All I can think of is the firm isn't as big as larger city law firms so it might offer more competitive prices (but i don't want to assume!)
Just to add, if discussing its international offices which may be a differentiator for clients, surely, large law firms generally have a wide international presence, and whilst SH may have offices in a region another firm doesn't, the same can be said for the other law firm, which may have offices in other areas! Sorry if i'm overcomplicating this question

Its okay! Yes, I got the email through at about 12:45, it was the usual 'due to the volume of applications' kinda thing.

Just got this rejection from Simmons, unsure if it is generic or not?
Can't understand why I am only able to apply next year unless it is an outright rejection?
"Unfortunately due to the high volume of applications, we are now at capacity for our Winter Vacation Scheme and are unable to progress your application to the next stage of our assessment process. Regrettably, we cannot transfer your application to another scheme.
I understand that this may be disappointing, however, I would like to thank you for your interest in the firm and would encourage you to apply to Simmons & Simmons again when applications open in October 2022."

Is there anyone else who hasn't heard from Simmons post-VI for the Winter scheme? Did my VI 5 weeks ago lol
Got an email to say apologies for delay we will be informed for w&c decisions post interview by the end of the week.
I'm still waiting for a response
Was hoping for one as it seems PFO's went out yesterday... Maybe they're just narrowing down the list. Their WVS is imminent though so they should be near
