Thank you, this is so helpful. It is often difficult to know where to start but this has provided a really useful structure! So I guess they are expecting you to actually name-drop other firms given the comparative element of the qu?

I personally would probably *not* name drop other firms - it feels a bit shady calling it out that directly, and ultimately the focus is on Latham, not the other firms. I just namedroppped a few for demonstrative purposes because knowing what other firms do/don't offer is helpful to figure out what you can say about Latham to show you understand their USP.

This said, @Jessica Booker would be better placed to comment on how recruiters view explicit references to other firms in these kinds of comparative questions.

Hey, they'll respond with either a rejection or invite to an interview with GR. Not sure how long this usually takes but I completed my online test (and got the report) a few weeks ago.

Do Latham & Watkins recruit summer vac scheme candidates on a rolling basis? I am planning to apply to them but I don't know if I am way too late. The app deadline is 2 Jan 2022.

I just had a look at Sidley's website and they say: "You can apply for a vacation scheme from your penultimate year of a law degree or final year of a non-law degree", so I assume they mean that you can apply from your penultimate year onwards.
