Did anyone apply on the date of the deadline for V&E and receive a VI invite?

Yes I applied on the 12th when the app closed on the 13th, they review apps on a non-rolling basis (confirmed by grad rec during a virtual event) so from my understanding they will review all applications after the closing date.

@Jessica Booker Do law firms care about if your law degree is an honours degree? Tbh I don't actually know the difference but someone at my uni told me that we don't get an honours degree if we don't do a dissertation, and a dissertation here is optional so loads of people aren't doing one

Non-honours degrees are pretty rare in England.

Usually, people who do not have an honours degree are only those who have passed or those who only did 300 credits rather than 360.

Therefore, if you have done alternative modules to a dissertation, I suspect this is an incorrect rumour.
