thank you :) i can’t lie im a bit scared that they’re taking too long to send it. maybe i should just assume a PFO and move on
I am quite certain that WG is a part of their screening process. They said during the Open Day that they only review the application after you pass the test. I wouldn't assume a PFO just yet. However, moving on and not thinking too much about it is, in my opinion, a good approach.

I also read on this forum somewhere that they send the WGT in batches and begin to screen applications before the deadline. 🙂

For that reason, it might just be they are doing both at the same time now. I wouldn’t assume a PFO just yet.

HL do receive around 4,000+ applications a year so I guess it’s just a waiting game atm. 🫡

Hi
I have never thought about adding those for firms I did not do the open day/event for.
Do you add them all or make a selection (and if so how.... I am so confused 😅)
Hi, it’s probably best to group them all under one experience entry.

Vac schemes should be their own work experience section. But open days and events can be grouped together.

Highlighting all the events and open days that you’ve attended (even at other firms) helps show your commitment to a career in law.

You can also expand on what you enjoyed to then strengthen your interest in the firm that you’re applying to.

Hope this helps!

Thank you ! I will do that from now on ;)

Not a fan of firms saying they had an ‘unprecedented amount’ or ‘2000’ applications in emails. Really makes us applicants feel like a needle in a very very large haystack. I mean don’t we already know how competitive this process is without them numbering us??! Sorry for the rant guys just had to let it out🫶🏼
I guess it makes the PFOs easier to bear. 2000 applications for Mills & Reeves is insane though. I'd have expected that for a MC/SC firm not a national firm.

I think they had so many applications because their process was just the application form with grades and personal info, then the test. No long written answers. And yeah I see where you’re coming from, but all I can think is that if there’s 2000 this cycle, there’ll maybe be 3000, 4000 next year etc, just gets harder.

They said they got 2000 last year as well lmao
