i remember Bristows saying it was fine. also I highly doubt they would take your previous app and compare it to your current one.

I did it last year and what i'd say is that its not super structured so if you bring something up they will expect you to be able to talk about it and give examples of how your work experiance lines up with it.

Hey!! congrats this is huge. But the whole point of a VS is for the TC, so have you already signed a TC contract? If so, there is gen no point for you to do that, and if I were you, I would give up my position for someone who hasn't got a TC lined up. What you should ask your self is what do you hope to gain out of this, if its not a TC at that particular firm.

They really wanted to do the VS at the other firm, so they emailed them saying that I have accepted a TC but I really want to do the vacation scheme with you too and the firm agreed to allow them complete vac scheme with them. I think if you do not disclose it, that will look bad on you

Well done! I'd usually start by thinking about which firm you prefer.

Some applicants will accept a TC offer and go on to do vacation schemes at other law firms. Understandably, it doesn't get discussed much, but this has happened for years, and it's always best to do what is right for you.

There is a (relatively low) risk that the law firm who has given you the training contract finds out.

If you prefer the firm that has given you the training contract or you don't want to risk anything, I'd be upfront with them and explain why you'd like to do the vacation scheme. I'd just be aware that they could also tell you not to do it.

For anyone who has done the Goodwin AC or is aware - is the interview going to be competency/motivational or commercial? They haven't specified but my intuition says motivational/competency as its done by the Early Careers Team.
