Just finished FF 2nd test- my tip is really spend time on reading the instructions and materials, and prep time will be 2 minutes, 2 minutes answering time: 4 VIs. Rest of them are SJTs and one short written Q. Cannot say more on that.

has anyone done the white and case vi yet and wants to talk about it bc why did I find it so much harder than last years
Anybody still waiting to receive the FF Stage 2 Test? For reference I did the Stage 1 Test on 18 October.
Hi, this is a question for @Abbie Whitlock and @Andrei Radu. How do you approach a cover letter for a firm that doesn't include a separate written answer to detail the "why law, why us, why you" answer? A page seems too limited to be able to exemplify every point i.e. if I say I'm interested in the firm's work on xyz, if I then go on to give an example of a case and why it's interesting, that's half a page already gone. Similar issue with talking about skills that I bring to the job if I use a fully developed STAR approach to my answers.
So any advice or suggestions would be a great help!

The A&O Shearman assessment has to be done before applications close - it said in the email "Please note your application (including all online experience) will need to be submitted by the deadline for this vacancy"

Yes you can do SJT and then do VI separately - it saves it so you can go back when you log in to the portal, and each question gives you unlimited time to prepare too so you can take a break between
I was non-STEM and did find the short prep time threw me off, I felt I hadn't given good answers, but I have received a workshop invite, so perhaps worth not overthinking it!
It really threw me off haha - I was definitely very nervous and didn’t answer as well as I wanted to but we’ll see how it goes I guess!
You can have a short break between the two but they film you the whole time to avoid any cheating so I think you probably can't do it across two different days.

I know!! I doubt they actually look at it though it probably is just to double check any identities if something seems weird - someone for a different firm told me that for these tests people sometimes actually get someone else to do the video interview versus the sjt so want to avoid that
