It’s Capfinity. They mean new as in it’s replaced the WG from previous years

Yeah I just did it now, to be fair it was above average for Cappfinities:

* SJT was standard nothing new
* WG was a lot of questions I've seen before ("AI predictions are improving all the time", "More staff should be devoted to checking expense claims to reduce fraud") but maybe 40% that I hadn't

They had a "this is definitely not part of the assessment, honest" section when you click complete where they ask if you prefer dispute or advice, insurance claim or tech deal, and I'm like "you lie, this is definitely going to be assessed in some way".

They must have spent the big bucks.

Am I right in thinking that highlighting skills developed and linking back to the firm is unnecessary for Travers Smith on the WE section? Since they have a separate cover letter
@TortillaTC I've seen mixed opinions on this, and all I can say is that although it is not necessary (as it is simply a place to talk about your role/duties) there is no harm in doing so. For WE sections, simply stating what you did is enough, and if you want to round it off with how that particular task developed a certain skill then feel free to mention it, but specifically linking back to the firm is not needed at all.

Hi @Afraz Akhtar, do you have any tips on how I can tailor my “why you” answer to specific law firms? For example, if I wanted to highlight my teamwork or collaboration skills, how can I tie this back to the firm?
Hey @M_m where you are being asked to explain "why you" as a separate question all together, I don't think you need to make your answer specific to the firm but rather the career. So, if you talk about your insane communication skills (and an experience that has qualified that skill) then try to end the point off with a link to how this will make you stronger as a commercial solicitor. The point here is to show the firm that you understand what it takes to be a solicitor today.

Where you can make this specific to the firm, is typically when your interest in the firm is a particular capability, that you've discussed in your motivational question. Then, I imagine you could talk about your skills/experiences and how this would fit well with that particular offering. For example, if you've spoken about how the firm's operational risk department interests you, when it comes to "why you" you could go into detail about your ethical integrity, knowledge of the regulatory landscape, or ability to build strong stakeholder relationships - and highlight why this would be useful for that particular practice area.
