Ok so yeah I’ve now concluded that the WG doesn’t hold much weight on the application.

Hey guys,
I wanted to know what the chances are of securing a direct training contract if a firm secures places TC via vacation schemes.
I plan on applying to 3 firms for their direct training contract. I’ve missed the window for the VS.
also has anyone been successful in getting a direct training contract with Addleshaw Goddard without having done a vacation scheme?

A friend of mine did her final interview and received her offer last week! She applied quite early in the application window.
anyone still waiting to hear back from Hogan Lovells post WG for direct TC?
Too early to know if I've progressed to the AC for FF post WG yet but how is everyone prepping? Their AC is a bit different than others' with only the proofreading exercise and 2 interviews. No group excercises of presentations etc. Particularly the analytical interview - I was at their grad workshop and the analytical interview had v little law-related things in it it seemed like? More like common business sense
I have been waiting 7 days for my PFO from FF post-app. My portal has changed to complete and inactive, but I've had no emails. Anyone else still in this position ?
Yeah, there's been a batch of PFOs already though. So is anyone else neither PFO nor WG?
Me, but that’s what happened last year - not everyone deserved to be pfo early on, and were pfo’ed way later
Yeah I feel like I'm in purgatory headed for a PFO but would rather be put out of my misery!
I just got an email from Freshfields (post-WG) noting my preference for the August 2025 intake, saying they have limited availability for that intake, and inviting me to an AC for the February 2026 intake instead.

I think we just had to choose between August 2025 and February 2026? Tbh didn't even remember that I'd put August 2025 as my preference though so not 100% sure.
Wait I applied for the winter 2025 intake.. is that what you guys are talking about ?
