I have a question. Can I secure a London TC and still live at home, and just stay in a hotel for the three days I have to be in the office?

Booking hotel for three nights and train costs will still be a lot cheaper than renting - and I could actually stay in central London. I have been applying region, but I can't seem to get the idea out of my head.

I don’t think this will be realistic.

You won’t know which days you need to be in the office, and although the firm’s policy maybe that you need to be in a minimum of three days a week, the reality is that you could find four or five to be the norm.

There are people who commute in from some distance - have seen people commute from the South Coast/Cambridge, and a lot of the commuter towns like Reading, Luton, Stevenage, Watford etc can be cheaper places to live but with a reasonable commute, but it really depends on where you are thinking of commuting from.

Yes, this is typically a good way to show this type of information.

Has anyone received a WG from Hogan Lovells yet? If so, how many days are given to complete the test?

Have just gone to look at the Allen & Overy winter vacation scheme application and there are no written/job specific questions on the form? Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Seems strange to not have any?

Just checked this and on GR website it says there will be 2 video interview questions then SJT test.

What backgrounds have people been most successful with for Video Interviews? Plain? Blurred? Bookcase?

No interviewer should judge you for the background if it's just the room best suited for you to do the interview. A standard room or blurred should be fine either way
