Has anyone else not heard back from Fieldfisher yet?

I heard from them today, i go tan invitation to do a test for the diversity scheme. Not sure whether all candidates do the tests or if it’s the next stage of the recruitment process :/

How did everyone do with the pillars on Reed Smith's test? Not sure how they test them, as I disagree with a lot of the outcomes

when was your interview? I applied close to deadline in december and after that radio silence... wondering if that means PFO?

My interview was one of the earliest in their slot in January - and I applied quite early - so I’m not too sure

What do firm normally mean when they ask this 'Have you previously applied to *law firm* (including any legacy Firms) for any position?' ?

Can't speak to the first question, but one of my friends did the SWE last cycle and he got his scheme offer through an email. He did his interview around mid-Feb and heard back in early March.

That’s helpful thanks I wonder would they imagine they give offers/rejections on a rolling basis or all at once in early March?

basically any firms before name changes or mergers eg Nabarro before it merged to become CMS

How do you know it’s spring because in the application you don’t choose which scheme? Or did you get a choice when you received the invite?

Oh sorry I have it under my spring vac scheme list lol but you’re probably right!! We didn’t get a choice in the AC invite

Anyone heard back from Slaughter and May for Summer Work Experience Scheme (vac scheme) post-interview? Is it a myth that the earlier you hear is usually successful, and that if they call you it’s an offer and they email you if it’s a rejection? Haha

Did my interview last week but have not heard back. The partner told me it might be quite a long wait as they are still interviewing other candidates? But he did say I can ask for an expedited result if I start to hear back from other firms.

Generally, how often are firms able to allow future trainees to start earlier than the prescribed start date, when the trainees are eligible to start earlier? Is it fairly common practice?

Out of curiosity, if one set of people who applied at the same time receive an AC invite, and another receive the invite later, does this imply a hierarchy of preference for GR? Trying to understand whether it's simply a fact of scheduling, or an indication of your rank on the totem pole. First cycle so utterly clueless about how this all works lol
