Hey All, anyone just been invited to a VI at Marriott Harrison?
Hey,
I am still waiting to hear back from Marriott Harrison also.
Hey,Hey Elana - I had mine this afternoon! Hope yours went well. They said they would let us know in the next week or two. Not sure how the virtual vac scheme is going to be...
Anyone know how long it takes to hear back on whether you were successful after taking the WG test for Baker McKenzie
Can anyone who has done the Baker McKenzie interview give me some insights on what to expect? I.e. how many questions, the time you have to prepare, and do they throw any curveball questions or are they pretty general/straight forward?
Would love to know this too. I suspect ending of this month or 1st week of May cause the last stage starts in the second week of MayI heard back within 24 hours.
Anyone know how long it takes to hear back post VI with them?

Those who have done the VI for Baker did u get the same questions I posted, am curious (I feel like the questions would be different though)
I had different questions, which is a surprise. Not sure how good an idea it is posting them though. Might be being paranoid but not sure grad rec would be keen on it?
that’s why they have various questions which are randomised - most firms know that questions will be passed on one way or another. If it’s not on a forum, it’s through word of mouth on campus.
Thanks @ Jessica for clearing that up.
@ changes thank you for responding. I think Jessica's response is apt and for things like this if there's no express restriction I choose not to imply one![]()

45 secs to prepare, 90 seconds to answer.
The questions were decent ( I cannot emphasize how key preparation is)
How will politics affect business in the current climate
How do you establish credibility quickly when you enter a new department
A setback that you have experienced and how you dealt with it
How difficult was it when you were a team member and not a team leader how did you deal with it
Tell us something that will describe your personality.

Still think it’s pretty unethical and stupid, particularly as others have had to prepare without them and presumably they are still waiting for a response, so they’re sabotaging everyone who did it without, including themselves.
Should this sort of thing be flagged or would it be looked at upon unfavourably to do so? I know some firms have been explicit about not sharing information but I can’t remember about BM.
I agree it’s a bit stupid. Unethical might be pushing it somewhat in my view.
Unfortunately this happens all the time just because it is on a public forum makes it more obvious. But if it is in a forum, at least it is accessible to everyone - for me it is far worse for it only to be passed on through selective word of mouth.
plus it’s a double edged sword. I suspect too many people would rehearse their answers to death and then just sound rehearsed.
What’s the point in flagging it? They can’t identify who the individual is. As I said, they know this stuff happens all the time. Google alerts automatically notifies you of things like this if you use it correctly. I was using this in 2010 to monitor forums like TSR and WikiJobs for mentions of the firm I worked for (usually it was more to monitor the lies, misconceptions than things like this though).
The fairest thing to do would be for the firm to be more detailed in the type of questions they will ask you in the interview. Then everyone would be prepared.
