I tend to suggest framing it in a slightly more positive way (if you know this information anyway) of something like: "Despite my low grade in X module, I was in the top 20% of the cohort that academic year for that subject"
This highlights that you did well comparatively to others in your year...
You don't need to tell firms you won't be doing the SQE1 exams - they know and have no influence on this. You get an automatic exemption, so there is no other outcome than you not sitting SQE1.
Unless you can find firms that can offer you the existing qualification process through a period of...
LPC candidates generally did their studies before they started their employment/training contract. The vast majority were not employed as trainees whilst they were studying. They would have received a maintenance grant though to help them with their living costs - for instance, Dentons would...
Just be mindful that most firms will be recruiting for 2025 or 2026 by that time and therefore are likely to have moved to the SQE anyway. If you do the LPC you'll get an exemption from SQE1 (the multiple choice questions you mention) but that is quite a long-winded and expensive way of getting...
I think this person has already secured a TC and their firm wants them to do the LPC.
For anyone who is self funding the LPC, I strongly encourage them to consider whether the SQE will be a better route for them, given the LPC is being phased out.
You don’t have to sit the SQE1 assessments, they just want you to do a course that covers SQE1 and SQE2.
As a lot of the content you learn for SQE1 actually applies to SQE2, I can understand this logic. They don’t want you to fail the SQE2, and so providing you with a thorough course that...
Yes - a lot of firms will just move people to the SQE model. They don't want trainees qualifying via two different routes as they have to be treated very differently from one another.
If you have passed the LPC, you are automatically exempt from SQE1, so you would only need to complete SQE2...
Open day is possible to add to a CV - you may want to create a separate heading/section that covers careers events like open days/insight programmes, training (e.g. things like Forage virtual work experience programmes) or any conferences you attend.
I wouldn't put law fairs or general careers...
If they ask you to, I would say you need to include it.
If it is optional (and worded in a way on the system to say it is an option to practice the video interview platform) then you don't.
This all sounds reasonable - but I would ensure you tie it back to you and your motivations/aspirations. Why would working on the purchaser side interest you on this particular matter? What would make it interesting to you?
Hi - this thread might be useful in finding how to say exactly the same point with fewer words. I suspect it may help you easily find 90 characters:

Hi everyone - yes agree with @B A on this one. There is a difference between having a minimum A-level requirement (which could bar your application from even being reviewed) and a having no A-level criteria. The latter does not necessarily mean they don’t consider A-level grades, but that they...
They can often have different weighting on the different categories of the WG or be using very different norm groups (the groups you are assessed against to get the percentile ranking), which could be why the percentile rankings are so different from one another.
Most don't, especially if your subsequent academics are strong - if you have good A-levels and degree results its very easy to look past GCSEs.
However, some firms may want to see at least a minimum of a C equivalent (now a 4 or 5 grade) in Maths and English.
