Ok, this is complicated because the below is a generalisation. You need to look carefully at your offer documents though, as it could easily be that this isn’t the case in your situation.
SQE TCs can have probation periods while LPC TCs do not - you can effectively be a rubbish trainee and it’s...
Oh… interesting questions. I am not a fan of it though, I don’t see why you have to sacrifice anything to pursue the career. However, I guess you could say any of the following:
- dedicating time to do a degree/further study
- choosing certain subjects over others to help your chances at either...
I have responded in the other thread, but I need to know whether the TC is a LPC training contract and whether the QWETC is a SQE training contract, as this will impact the advice I give you. If they are both SQE training contracts, my response will be different.

Completing a vacation scheme will only ever be a positive addition to an application.
Yes, firms will be curious as to why you didn’t convert to a training contract. But at the same time they know that there are a multitude of reasons for this and that even the firm who turned you down might of...
That is fantastic news! Congratulations on securing a TC - I love posts like this as it really shows that determination, perseverance and hard work pay off!
