Yes, still flag it. You clearly need an answer on this for your own worry/anxiety, and you’ll get clarity from the firm. I don’t think this is an issue - as the institution has explained it isn’t a resit. But it’s best to keep the firm updated on these things. If the firm has a preferred...
I’d explain to the firm now so you aren’t causing extra work when they question why the exam was sat later. It will also stop your anxiety regarding the issue to deal with it now. There is a clear reason here why you needed to resit and that was outside of your control, so I don’t see the firm...
No need to commercial law needed at all. Seen everything from a type of historical architecture, to changes in rules in sport, to martial arts, to modern artists, regional charities, cheer leading etc.
It is very rare this question presents a commercial topic, and when someone does you can tell...
No - not necessarily. It could just focus on the learnings if you felt it hadn’t really developed any skills (often the case with a lot of informal work experience or things like open days).
The most important part of this question is “key” - it’s basically asking you to focus on the most...
No rivalry when it comes to within the City. Rivalries are much more likely to be about who has the best office/facilities, not actually where the office is based.
Firms could easily move from Chancery Lane to Liverpool Street or vice versa and not really think about it. It’s a bit different if...
The resits will be more of an issue for some firms than the changing roles to a non legal role.
For TCs, firms tend to just focus on your transferable skills rather than getting caught up with job titles.
Having worked across London, there really isn’t a difference between Chancery Lane end of the city or Liverpool Street at the other end of the city - it’s literally only a mile apart.
Best to try and avoid it where you can. It may naturally come up in conversation though, and that’s not an issue unless you are explicitly asked in the interview to not reference it.
It’s not necessary to talk about the skills developed for a question like that - I’d personally focus on your impact in those activities.
Most likely late October to late November.
Your achievement can be anything just make sure you think it is your greatest achievement, not what you think the recruiter wants to hear.
It doesn’t matter how long ago your extra curriculars were.
It doesn’t tend to be as binary as this. Your work experience could be enough if you have more extra curriculars for instance.
I think it’s worthwhile applying for first year schemes though (although no rush if their deadlines are not until next term).
This is highly suspicious.
I have looked at the company online and their “tutors” don’t seem to be anyone with professional experience. They are likely to be fake profiles on LinkedIn.
This looks very much like a scam. If it isn’t, it’s just highly immoral. Paying £1,500 for work experience is...
It isn’t that asking questions is a negative thing. But there is a balance and that thinking about whether you can find the answer of your own accord, or ask the most appropriate person, as well as the manner in which and when you ask are factors that need to be taken into consideration when...
Don’t do it! This is not how it should work at all. You should never be paying someone for access to job opportunities.
Please can you PM me the company’s name too?
