I have a few questions for those doing the Slaughters interview/ have been through the process:

1. are there any resources to help prep for the written exercise? is it useful to use resources directed at Consulting/Banking jobs (e.g., Prep Lounge)?
2. if you have not demonstrated any interest or experience with the transactional aspects of the firm, will the interviewer likely focus on that? given slaughters multi-specialist philosophy, will they expect interviewees to have a broad range of interests/ knowledge across different practice areas?
3. how technical will the interview be, specifically with regards to the article they provide you with?

any advise/ guidance would be MASSIVELY appreciated as I am feeling quite unprepared.

Should I email a firm (that I have an upcoming AC with) informing them about latest university module results? My overall grade when I sent the application was a first class degree (but just slightly above 70%), and with these new results it is comfortably first class (with an overall grade increase of 1-2%).

Since the degree remains first class, I don't see any apparent benefit in updating them about the new modules. But the firm is generally very strict on academics, so I was wondering if you'd advise sharing the updated modules since even 1-2% more may give an edge?

Managed to get past the first interview for the Bristows TC application and now have a written exercise. Does anyone have any advice specifically for Bristows or in general? In the past this part has definitely let me down so would appreciate any help & insight! Thanks! :)

There is no need to update them on this.

Wait sorry this might be stupid but I’m so confused about ppl talking about intakes. Are we meant to email them about our preferences or was this in the original application?
This was in the original FF TC Application, we had to choose between Aug 2025 and Feb 2026. After the WG they emailed some people that there are limited spaces for August 2025 and asked if they wanted to do an AC for Feb 2026 instead.
