sigh. i can't complain bc i applied a few days before the deadline but i wonder if they had already found the applicant that they wanted. idk if ACs have been conducted yet

well I applied mid-May and I am yet to hear back so

I’m not sure about the rest, but:

- when I applied to SH’s VS, they took 3 weeks to reject me.
- when I applied to RPC’s DTC, they took 5 weeks.

From the date I applied. SH is fine, but I think RPC is just slow like that.

Hi everyone! Does anyone have any advice or insights on applying for Slaughter & May's direct Training Contract (non-law), particularly when it comes to the CV and cover letter?

Cover letter
Their FAQ says to explain why you're interested in a career in law and why you're applying to Slaughter & May. Normally, I'd also expect to answer "Why you?" in a cover letter. Am I right in thinking that, for Slaughter, I only need to focus on the two questions they've asked and don't need to include a separate "Why me?" section?

Cover letter: you should ABSOLUTELY include a “why me” section.

CV: yes you should include them. I group mine separately from my work experience since it isn’t really work
