What skills do you think are needed to be a successful solicitor at ... ? (250 words)
For a 250 word question should you describe how you possess those skills or simply state them and why you believe they are needed to be a successful solicitor at (insert firm name)???

Hey! My usual approach to these questions is a skill, a short, specific example of how I've demonstrated it in previous roles and then one/two sentences explaining why it's useful and what aspects of the role I could apply it to hope that's helpful. For 250/300 words I usually choose three skills and examples.

Applied on 02.12.23 and got the invite for assessment on 04.12.23. Did the assessment on 06.12.23, then TI invite on 07.12.23.

I can totally relate to your post. In my akin report, collaboration was my strength and amberjack is telling me I’m neither inclusive nor collaborative honestly don’t know how test benchmarks are decided as each one of them seem contradictory in their feedback reports

What did everyone get in the automatic feedback report for RS? Particularly the pillars? I did quite high in digital and low in grit. Mid high in the other two

High in all three aside from grit which was mid/low (four bars)

They don't. I really wish firms would stop it with these tests.

The only explanation I have is that every firm has established its own benchmark based on the results of the people working there who took the test. This sets a standard for new applicants. So the benchmark for how “collaborative” you are is different for every firm

Firms, use the Watson Glaser more as I finally learned how to master it (and also do it at super speed haha)

And speaking of Watson Glaser, me and my bf have an inside joke - when we’re arguing and one of us says something that’s not related to the main subject matter the other one will say “ conclusion does not follow” or “ weak argument” HAHAHAHA

Practice really makes perfect I know it's a common piece of advice, but it truly is effective - I've noticed significant improvement over time.
There's still room for progress, as I don't always get the a very high score, but with practice you’ll pass it every time

Really silly question, but BCLP had a Manchester TC option just a few weeks ago because I filled out half of the form. The deadline was 31/05/24. Yet it has disappeared? Are they no longer offering it because of how downhill the firm is going? They don't think they can handle trainees in that office? Is it still there and I'm being silly? Help

I'm kinda mad because I was halfway there to completing it so I'm really confused
