Has anyone received the shoosmiths feedback report. What was everyone’s strength and weaknesses? I got open connector as my weakness and considering it’s one of their top values, not sure I’ll be getting the good news from them anytime soon
How long ago did you do the test? I did it on the deadline and I'm still waiting

congrats, this is great news! May I ask how you scored on the VR test and what your strengths were for the SJT questions? Thank you!!
Thats amazing, manifesting the same for myself too! When did you do the tests?
Did the VR/SJT on the 2nd of this month. I scored average for everything in VR except Comprehension and Interpretation where I scored above average - seemed a bit of a disappointing result to me overall. Top strengths were learning agility, resilience, and attention to detail.

This is probably a really stupid/funny question. When inviting people on coffee chats on a VS - what do you do at firms that do not have a canteen? Do you suggest a nearby coffee shop? Also would paying for the coffee be going too far or is it expected as you are the one that extended the invitation? I feel like there is a really obvious answer I'm missing lol

Hey @axelbeugre @Jessica Booker do you have any advise for a fellow non-law first cycle applicant for the AC? I have been so far answering the standard questions (why law, why this firm etc), as well as going through some SJ questions. My concern is more the case study. I have learnt the basic M&A terms and researched how lawyers get involved with it in various departments e.g. finance, IP, litigation etc. Would there be any other commercial legal basics i should know? I have been summarising 1 FT article out loud for 10 mins a day to feel more comfortable summarising / using commercial vocab. But just wanted to know if you had any other advise for general things to prep for a first time AC?
I think you are preparing very well for the assessment centres you have and this is amazing. I did share a couple of tips in a post which might be helpful but I think you are working really hard and I know it will pay off.

Here it is: https://www.thecorporatelawacademy....sion-thread-2023-24.8037/page-610#post-167210

Good luck with it and I am sure you will smash this cycle!

hey not a stupid question at all! on my VS i would suggest a coffee chat and they would take you to a nearby coffee shop and also they pay for it since you're on a VS and i was at uni not really earning it's a courtesy they do, you don't have to worry about offering to pay but dw i understand the stress of it!

I am still waiting on mine. What was the report like? Does it just give your main strength and weakness? Do you find out how you did in the WG section?
