Hi @Jaysen !! Hope you are doing well.

I have a question about something I’ve been trying to understand about vacation scheme and training contract recruitment:

When a firm says it is recruiting for a certain number (say 30) of training contracts for a particular intake, for example a 2028 TC through the 2026 vacation scheme cycle, does that number usually refer strictly to the candidates starting in that specific intake year?

I’ve noticed that some future trainees at the same firms appear to have earlier start dates like 2027, which made me wonder whether they are part of a separate cohort of 30, earlier recruitment cycle, or something else, and hence do not count as part of the 30 intake.

I greatly appreciate your insight! Thank you :)

    Hey @aria_d!

Yes, I think that's right. If a firm specifies an intake of 30 people for 2028, I would not expect the future trainees joining in 2027 to be included in this intake of 30.
