    One tough interviewer, and that is exactly what every mock interview needs.

    Lawrence had a serious, yet understanding approach to the interview. He picked apart my answers, which was frustrating, but extremely helpful as it exposed my weak points to work on for an upcoming AS.

    He was extremely critical, but equally as helpful when teaching me how to correct my approach.

    10/10 would recommend.

    I recently had a mock interview with Gemma and it was really great. She had prepared sets of questions to ask which were all relevant to my application/firm/ individual requirements. She gave feedback for each question at the end of each section which was very helpful. She also gave me fantastic tips for excelling across the Assessment Centre. I really could not recommend Gemma enough.

    I recently had a commercial case study interview with Gemma, and I could not recommend it more!
    Gemma was incredibly friendly but professional, and asked thorough questions throughout. She also asked in-depth follow up questions, encouraging me to think deeply about the issues I was discussing. Overall, the experience was both enjoyable and challenging.

    It was my first ever interview, and Lawrence was incredibly attentive throughout. His feedback was structured and clear, with advice given point by point, which made it really easy to follow. He also sent me a detailed written summary, sharing not only his observations but also his own experiences, which was a huge help. He struck the perfect balance—encouraging and supportive, yet thorough in highlighting the areas I needed to improve. That made it much easier for me to identify and work on my weaknesses.

    I had to do a 10-min presentation for a final interview the following day. Chat GPT had written it for me and the whole thing felt like pulling teethc. By going through it with Shahana, I transformed a dull, lifeless ppt that I really coudn’t be bothered with, into something attractive and jazzy. She reminded me about graphics, animations, the importance of slide design and so much more. In my low-level job, I just don’t use this kind of skill any more even though I used to daily. Even if I don’t get an offer, I felt as if I could do a really good job on a presentation another time. It was such a good use of the mock interview opportunity.

    Awurakua was an incredibly helpful interviewer. (1) She accounted for my inexperience and nerves with interviews by being very supportive throughout. Even when I could not answer a question, she provided constructive feedback without being disparaging. This rapport made it a lot easier for me to articulate my genuine answers to her. (2) Her discussion of anecdotal experiences like how she ‘revised’ motivational interview answers was great for giving actionable steps. (3) In general, she had a very good understanding of how to answer each question. For example, removing information from competency answers which do not help a later aspect of the story.

    To make future interviews even better, more probing would make a difference. I found it really helpful to articulate my genuine reasons for doing commercial law when I was probed. This would particularly help more experienced interview candidates for whom general advice is less useful.

She consistently framed feedback with positives at the start and finish, which kept me from feeling demotivated and reinforced what I was doing well. Her constructive criticism was detailed and specific, and she translated each point into concrete actions I could take to improve. After offering feedback, she invited me to rework my answers and took the time to review those improved versions too.

    Her willingness to share her own experiences, including examples from assessment centres, made the guidance practical and relatable. I also appreciated the control she gave me over the structure and flow of the session, which helped target the areas I cared about most. At every stage she encouraged me, even when I was uncertain or needed a moment to think. I came away from the session more motivated, more confident in my approach and genuinely well prepared for future interviews.
