Quick question for Linklaters - if you get on to the Open Day or like their Black Heritage Open day - it says that you will automatically be fast tracked for an AC for a Vac or TC. Is this actually true??
I applied for both open day and winter vac scheme but it didn't help.

And I want to know, if I am rejected from Linklaters vacation scheme will they still invite me to their open day?

Hypothetically speaking, if I fail the benchmark will I immediately receive a notice of rejection?
no, you don't immediately receive it - sometimes there's a delay in relaying that info but they will definitely inform you if you have been unsuccessful - wishing you the best of the luck with your application! :)

I have no clue - but I think if you get one to the Open Day they should fast track you
Is the fast-track arrangement common in the legal industry or just limited to Linklaters only? I have applied for HL vacation scheme and will be attending their open day this week so it would be great if I could fast-track my application.

By the way, has anyone heard from Gibson Dunn yet?

I am raising this question not because I think I am failing it, but because this exactly happened to me in my HSF application last year.

So sorry. If I may ask - what were your strengths and weaknesses in the situational judgment test.
Hey, don't be sorry! It says I scored very highly for respect and commercial thinking. Those are the only strengths in the report.

My only weakness in the report is leadership preference.

Unless I am reading my report wrong, it says I got 40/40 on the WG. If true I must have really messed up on that situational test they have!
Links don't have a benchmark and if you hit that you get AC spot. What are your grades like? I got 97 last year and got rejected but I know that was because I had poor grades.

My grades are decent I think, I got a high 2:1 (67%) at undergrad for law at a RG university. I then got a merit (66%) for a master's in corporate law from another RG university and a distinction on the LPC MSc.

I did find the Capp test for Linklaters a bit difficult and I have never passed a SJT test for a lot of firms so I do think my answers could have been inconsistent etc. Also, I don't know if you also did that assessment but there were WG-style questions at the end that were very difficult so maybe that played a part too!

Bro you got 99 on WG so I don't think the WG Qs on the Capp would have been an issue haha
