Could be three hours, could be three weeks. It depends on you as a candidate, how competitive everyone else is, and where in the interviewing timeline HL are. Everyone on the winter vac scheme waited very different amounts of time to hear back.
It's fairly normal. Firms expediate their procedures when they know candidates have other offers. They don't want to miss out on someone worthwhile just because they got to them late.
It might mean that they think you are someone likely to get more than one offer, but I wouldn't read much into it.
If they're already saying you can apply instead of telling you you can't, which a lot of firms disallow if you get a post VS/AC rejection, I don't see that there is any harm in trying. Depends on if the feedback you were given is something you think you can act on by the time you are reapplying...
Having dealt with several SARs myself, both as someone fulfilling it and someone requesting my data, a request as narrow as "my recruitment feedback" is not going to be considered complex enough to warrant a two month extension. One would expect a law firm to have a streamlined enough system to...
Small correction, an SAR has to be completed in 30 days by law, and you can request the specific information you are looking for rather than everything, so it's unlikely that they'll be given more than their feedback if its all they ask for. However, if the firm is annoyed they can definitely...
Its better to be a qualified lawyer than a TC applicant.
I also don't see what your contact's issue with Travers is or firms like it. It's a great firm.
Maneuverability is going to come down to your background, what area you qualify in, if you have any client or past work experience that is...
The FAQ says that you can only apply twice overall, so even if you can I wouldn't burn a second attempt on an app that won't be very different.

I don't know if you're actually allowed to apply to both a VS and TC in the same cycle. Depends on what Ashurst means when they say recruitment window, i.e. whether it refers to a specific scheme or the year cycle...
I'd assume they'd interview you the way they interview their direct TC candidates if the firm does direct TCs generally.
As for the question about no legal work experience, I'd talk about other transferable skills where you've shown that you are cut out to be a trainee. At one of my interviews...
Someone sent me this tweet (Link) that shows that BPP completely emptied out their London Holborn centre.
This is despite BPP claiming that the centre will be reopened March 8th for study slot bookings as recently as the 24th of February. The whole place looks like a building zone full of...
I really relate to this. I'm from the US too and was staring down the barrel of not being able to stay in the UK after self funding the GDL and LPC. The nightmare of that scenario kept me up at night basically every day for the past year. I ended up getting a TC, but despite that I am still...
