They can’t have people’s contact details without some form of registeration for an application. It might be that they were tidying up their system and sent rejections for a very old vacancy or sent a comm out to anyone who started but didn’t complete their application. I don’t think it’s...
For Flex Trainee or for paralegal work? If the former, send me a reminder email. If the latter, please feel free to email me at [email protected] anyway and I can pass on to the relevant member of the team.
I wouldn’t say there is a number - many people won’t make 25 applications in a cycle.
If I had to estimate I would say if one in six or seven of your applications gets you to a face to face assessment stage you are doing well. When I speak to people who are getting a lower ratio than this, I...
I don’t think you have to attend the firm’s events to have a successful application with them. They can just be helpful to many in understanding more about the firm, which then helps in applications. However, if you are confident that you already have this knowledge, that will come across in the...
I still don’t think this is a good measure. Just because it was a certain percentage, doesn’t mean it will be this year.
It also doesn’t factor in renege rates (a firm with a 100% acceptance rate is going to make fewer offers than a firm with a 70% acceptance rate).
I’d go with the firm that...
I don’t see the point in asking it - it doesn’t tell you anything about what your chances of securing a vacation scheme, just what a collective group of other people’s chances were based on their individual circumstances. There is no reason to ask this to try and help you pick which scheme...
Even if it did impact your chances (it really wont though), they are not going to tell you that.
There isn’t a percentage of people who are offered though. They will hire who they want to hire - it could be coincidence that they are from one scheme more heavily than the next, just because they...
You complete the assessment and are given a raw score. This is not necessarily just getting something like 25 out of 30 questions correct though. The raw score will include any weighting on specific questions or any systems like negative scoring. It may even include a calculation on how long it...
There are a lot of Chambers included in this list, but still some law firms in there too: Key Deadlines Calendar - Legal Cheek

No set precedent here - could be a with-held number just due to their phone system, a landline number or a mobile number.
One of my major pieces of advice for anyone waiting for outcomes from interviews is to set up voicemail! They will leave a message but a crazy number of people have no...
Typically anything above 65 is likely to be a pass. Firms tend to not have too high a benchmark (e.g. 80 percentile or above).
Some firms will have a pass rate mich lower than that - I have heard pass benchmarks of 17-18th percentile.
If you took a sample size of people who completed the test and your score was compared to that sample, your result will be 9th, with the 1st being the lowest result and the 99th being the highest result.
What you don't know is who you are being compared to though. It may not be your fellow...
It might just be that they place weighting on a certain set of questions. Just because you got the 33rd percentile with them, doesn't mean you would get a similar result with another firm that also uses the WG.
Unfortunately percentiles alone don’t mean much, especially across firms as they use different tests, can assess the WG in different ways (eg have different weightings on type of questions), and then also assess you against different norm groups (how you get the percentile ranking).
Even if the...
I don't think you really can.
Here are some posts that will give you some general guidance on these exercises though:

I think their argument could be the opposite - that by reviewing everyone at the same time, those who applied earlier are not at an advantage.
By opening early and providing a long application window, it gives people the option to apply earlier so people can choose not to put themselves under...
