I don't think it would be redundant - you'd find out a whole load of stuff to help out with the latter stages of the recruitment process which would be after the 13th anyway.
I don't think it's ever too late to apply. Rolling recruitment is often not done to give preference to candidates who apply early, it is just done for the recruiter to manage the screening process.
And if you got your application in today/tomorrow, I suspect you'd still be ahead of a good 200+...
I don’t know the specifics of CC’s policy unfortunately - I would contact the firm directly to speak to them about this.
Also check your offer documents to see if there are any terms and conditions relating to passing the GDL/LPC/SQE first time.
Even when there are terms, firms can use their...
For any business like this and for any raising of funds process, lawyers are going to be involved. That’s enough - it doesn’t need to be linked to the law firm directly.
So I would think more about how lawyers would be advising Neumann or the investors. Also think about what the investors may...
Our review service is at a cost given the significant time resource given to review the application answers.
You can either subscribe to our Gold premium service, and receive a whole host of other benefits and get one review per calendar month.
Or you can purchase individual reviews...
No - it’s not imperative, especially for vacation schemes. The GDL can show a commitment to pursue a legal career, but there are other ways you can evidence that in an application.
As you don’t need to do the PGDL (some firms will put prospective trainees through it, but it is no longer a...
Always been an issue unfortunately - it’s been like that my entire career anyway. Unfortunately there’s never enough time pre Christmas to get through a full recruitment process and waiting until Feb/Mar and the firm could lose out talent to other firms.
1) just email to say you will not be accepting the offer. They will need something in writing anyway, so email is the best bet. You don’t have to name firm A if you don’t want to, but I would say you have decided to accept another training contract elsewhere. They are likely to reply to you...
It’s is fine to state this interest, but I would try to balance it out with other areas the firm is better known for/where you are more likely to do TC seats.
If you were successful last time, there is a decent chance that you would be successful again. However, if you turned them down for other firms they may want to see a clear reason why you are applying to them again/have changed your mind.
However, there is a decent chance they don’t even...
You just need to include it in your application form. If you can add a future work experience entry you can add it in there with a description of which department you will be sat in (if you know). But alternatively a brief reference in a motivational question or in an extra information section...
Are you currently working and if so would you be able to get the time off to attend vacation schemes?
Age is not a barrier to vacation schemes - I have had people in their 30s, 40s and even their 50s on vacation schemes before.
Vacation schemes are just more practical for those who are still...
I don’t think you need to highlight the skills unless explicitly asked or if the word count is generous enough that is it allows you to do so. A little bit of detail about the activity is probably needed though so your reader understand the context. If it is a position of responsibility, it is...
It doesn’t necessarily have to be first, but I would make it clear why you specifically want to be a lawyer at the firm in your answer. If your answer could equally apply to someone in a non-legal job, then the answer would not be specific enough to commercial law.
To me, this question is also...
Yes, you should include any employment even if it’s with other firms.
Forage state that you shouldn’t include there programmes in work experience (although plenty of people do). But you can mention the programmes generally in your applications, in competency or motivational questions.
It isn’t...
For the first question, you don't need to discuss the way law firms work unless it's an integral part of the change you identify. You do have to identify how the legal sector would be impacted though (and this obviously could be how law firms work as a business, but doesn't necessarily have to...
