Experience in practice will always outweigh academics unfortunately.
I think it really depends how much cross over you have in competition work in the firm you are qualifying into. It might also be a compromise of working in another type of organisation (eg going back to the European...
Do you have any mitigating circumstances or do you think you would fall under any contextualised recruitment processes (eg your education or social background was of a lower level than the average)?
If you don’t know the firm that well, then it’s a good approach, especially as firms tend to run open days as ways to create a pipeline of candidates for future programmes.
Sorry for the delay on this.
You’d need to explore some of the detail more. There is an assumption that their actions are impacting others, or that that tone is set by the trainee. It might be better to speak to the support staff first rather than the trainee due to how you are reading the...

It will very much depend on the firm in question, so something to ask them during the recruitment process.
This could all change with the SQE coming in anyway, which doesn’t need to be studied in the same way as the LPC/GDL.
However, for the GDL the firm can generally be much more flexible and...
Literally can be anything - seen breeds of dog, martial arts, wine tasting, specific charities, a type of architecture at a point in history, poetry, psychology, horticulture. Just pick something you get a bit buzzy about.
