Just circulating the question: has anyone else received an AC offer from A&O for the direct TC so far? And if so, when did you apply

I applied 11/12, so very close to the deadline, hence why I don't have my hopes up...

@Rina When did your friend receive the AC invite?

they will still review it nonetheless. No news can be good news (which is what I like to tell myself anyway!)

Is anyone still waiting to hear back from Slaughter and May? They reached out to me shortly after I submitted my app (11th Nov) to ask for some further info regarding my overseas grades but I haven't heard back since (that was a month ago), though that would suggest that they have actually seen my app - not sure what to think

That’s probably good news. I applied 22 Nov and was rejected 10 days ago. Good luck!

I am - applied 2025 TC on Nov 24th or something. Right before the deadline.

Slaughter and May interview! [Applied 11th November, heard back 22 December]
The earliest slot for booking was late April, with most slots in May, so it'll be a long wait

Presumably you'd also talk about a previous VS in the work experience section

I'm just intrigued as CC ask 'why didn't you get a TC' - seems very hard to write something positive (even if you have genuinely improved), think it's a negative selection bias

Yea I agree - the question was very direct so it's a bit tricky! I think it depends on the feedback you get after the previous VS and how you word your answer to the 'why didn't you get a TC' question.

I applied 9 days and still haven’t received an invitation. Has anyone applied within the past 9 days and received an invitation?

Tempted to email grad recruitment if there’s been a mistake but don’t want to jump the gun in the event that others are also waiting

they seem to prefer penultimate year law students so they aren't expecting anyone to do vses
