would it be too informal to DM gradrec on social media to ask when they would get back to candidates? i feel annoying emaling them for a small thing like that 😭

I personally would not do that, I do not think it is productive. They are very busy this time of year so I would cut them some slack and try to focus on other applications and forget about the ones you have submitted. This is how I moved on from applications once submitted last year!

Someone’s portal was updated and it said “Application Unsuccessful” so maybe check your portal?
