Has anyone heard from Linklaters? Do they call or email? I'm an international student, so I'm scared that they'd call my UK number which is not currently in use

They called me post-AC, but I actually missed it the first time they called so they emailed me to schedule a time to speak. So don't worry!

I don't think they've opened apps or recruited for several years now, following the erm, failed A&O merger

I can second this, I pay £800 a month and I got off cheap compared to a lot of my friends at uni...

I live in Battersea, near Clapham Junction and pay £600 a month in rent. Sometimes you've got to look at different sites and flat shares

Rental market is really up and down in London at the moment. Rental on my place has probably gone down by around 20% and that’s not unique to my area. But it can still be a tricky market. In the peak of lock down my neighbour had 16 people offer to rent on his place, so you can make a lot of offers and not necessarily secure the place just because of the competition. Having a good renters profile can often give you a strong advantage.

Of course you can find areas further out of central/single vs double rooms/quality etc but I was just giving an average price from my own experience of flat hunting in zone 1/2

I think most places look at it holistically. Obviously, there will be a certain minimum you need to meet though lol.
