The Cambridge University Commercial Law Forum (CUCLF) is a new student-led society, soft launched in 2020, for aspiring solicitors at the University of Cambridge. The tenets of the society are three-fold: to promote commercial awareness, foster commercial thinking, and demystify commercial law. Learning is crucial to our philosophy – the CUCLF aims to be a platform where aspiring commercial solicitors can learn and discover about the industry in a direct and accessible way. The society prides itself on inclusivity. As such, our events are open to all and membership to the CUCLF is free-of-charge. We work to provide opportunities to students here in Cambridge to ensure that no potential goes untapped. Some of our past events include workshops, presentations, and collaborations with the likes of Davis Polk & Wardwell, Baker McKenzie, Addleshaw Goddard, and trainees at Linklaters and White & Case. We look forward to working with The Commercial Law Academy to further our goal of providing opportunities to students working their way towards a career in the City.
