Oxford Women* in Law Student Society (OWLSS) is a society founded and run by students at the University of Oxford. Launched in 2019 in collaboration with the Oxford Women in Law (OWL) network for alumni, the foundation of the society marked the 100th anniversary of women in the UK entering the legal profession.

Our fundamental objective is to promote greater gender equality and diversity in the legal sector. We provide an inclusive networking community for women*, non-binary, transgender and intersex people to connect, share experiences, support each other in building ambitious careers in the legal world, and, most importantly, learn.

The team that has driven forward this progress includes women* with a depth and breadth of experience from advanced mooting to international legal aid. Together we aim to nurture this movement toward diversity in law and are always keen to hear from potential members and partners.
