Founded in May 2020, Women in Law society was set up to encourage students into being the change they want to see in the legal profession. We are a group of passionate students dedicated to diversifying the legal sector by widening the opportunities available. Diversity in the legal profession drives productivity and innovation which is why we are empowering aspiring lawyers to express the strengths of their backgrounds.  Our student led society aims to set up initiatives dedicated to increasing the accessibility of a law career for each diversity strand.

Over the past year we have already accomplished so much including a career series educating members on the various legal pathways from many speakers providing the opportunity to network. We have created a support network for students and introduced a mentoring scheme. Through this every member benefitted from the opportunity to connect with an industry-expert to gain insight and support whether that be CV reviewing or discussing first year fears! We look forward to continued efforts in driving diversity, welfare and accessibility to the legal profession whilst supporting charities.

Follow us on our social media to see some of the upcoming projects such as a Commercial Awareness competition, workshops and social events! There is something for everyone…
